Read Me

Welcome friends and family. I thought this would be the best way to share my trip to India with you.

Kai and I had talked about getting him a map so that he could see where I was going, but I thought an interactive medium might be better, so I started this blog. It is also meant for my friends, Chetan and Sharanya. I wanted to put all of the pictures, videos, etc. of their wedding into one place for them so they can have them later on.

I realize some of you reading this are pretty techno-savvy and some are not. Some of you are very familiar with India and some are not. So, I have set this up as best I can for everyone's use. Since you are all such a diverse group, I will rate the posts if I don't think they are completely appropriate for little eyes.

Over the next week or so, I will be setting up pages which you will find listed at the top of the blog. These will contain information on things related to the trip, so if you are reading along on a post and suddenly find a word or a reference that you are unfamiliar with you can look on other pages to get some quick information. If you don't care or already know, simply read on.

To get back to the main blog posts, just click on the words 'India Aria' at the top of the page.

Blogging is an asynchronous medium. It allows me to show you pictures, video, writer letters and communicate with you and you can access it at your convenience. Which is handy when there is such a large time difference.

It is also interactive. Please, please leave comments, ask questions, make recommendations or if you see something you think you might like me to pick up for you, let me know.

I haven't publicized this blog other than to invite a few of my regular readers on my other blog, so it is fairly private. It is really meant to be as personal as virtual interactions can be. But, please, do remember that other people read this. Think of it as a family gathering place.

If you want to send a more personal note, feel free to send me an email or IM to: karie.nicholas@gmail.com

So, here is a pretty map for your reference. Of course, you can also check out the link to the interactive Google map below it.
